Nikki and I were on a road-trip from Brisbane to Cairns and called in at The Crater (Mount Hypipamee) where we had been assured we would find Bridled Honeyeaters around the picnic area and car park at this location.

It was an overcast and rainy day and like the tourists the honeyeaters had decided to stay away.

It came as a nice surprise, therefore, when on a back-road at Maryfarms looking for Bustards we happened upon a couple of these honeyeaters.

I've decided the god of birding has a sense of humour and likes to mess with the minds of his disciples.
